What I Want You to Do

Assess your Recommendation Report by completing this self-check, which lists the Recommendation Report Criteria.

Each member of your group needs to complete to receive credit, as Canvas has no system for group Quizzes. You can submit the self-check as many times as you’d like to see how your work compares to the expectations for the project.

Why I Want You to Do It

In the workplace, you should be able to compare your work against a list of specifications to determine if your project is complete. This self-check works just that way: You should be able to confirm every one of the project criteria in the checklist before you consider the project ready to submit.

How You Do It

1. Review the Recommendation Report Criteria, which outlines the requirements for the project.
2. Work through Try-It #25: Checking for Common Report Errors and the Try-It #26: Use of Images Review to ensure your group’s draft is ready for this self-check.
3. Complete the checklist below, indicating the criteria for the project that you have met. You can use either of these methods:
   • Compare the criteria to your draft yourself.
   • Use AI to help you compare your draft to the criteria, using these prompts and instructions.
4. Submit your checklist responses and check your point total for the activity:
   • If the checklist is marked 1 point for your Self-Check responses, your group has completed the activity successfully and are ready to submit your final version to the Recommendation Report Assignment.
   • If the checklist is marked less than 1 full point, work with your group to revise the proposal to meet the criteria that you did you marked “False”. You should be able to confirm all the criteria before you submit your project.

How to Assess & Track Your Work

Work is always marked as either 1 for Complete or 0 for Incomplete:

• Canvas will mark this activity Complete in Grades automatically when you confirm you have met all of the Recommendation Report Criteria.
• Canvas will mark this activity Incomplete in Grades automatically if you do not confirm that you have met all of the Recommendation Report Criteria by the end of the grace period.
• I will mark this activity Incomplete if I find your project does not meet the Recommendation Report Criteria. You can submit an updated Self-Check after you revise your project.
