- Create a group contract that everyone agrees to.
- Plan the schedule for your work on the group projects.
- Record your decisions in your meeting minutes.
- Post an Announcement with a copy of your meeting minutes (done by group leader).

How to Do It
Preparing for Your Week 07 Group Meeting
- Connect with the members of your group to arrange a meeting time that fits everyone’s schedules. The Group Writing page suggests some scheduling strategies that can help.
- Choose a way to meet. You can use whatever system works best for your group. Here are some possibilities:
- Set-up an online meeting in Teams or Zoom.
- Post ideas in a Canvas Group Discussion. The following links can help you:
- Meet in person on campus or another convenient location.
- Before you meet, prepare by reviewing details on the Major Project assignments that your group will collaborate on:
You will also collaborate on several Try-It assignments, including meeting minutes and a documentation style plan.
- Review the Week 07 Meeting Agenda to get ready for your first meeting. It lists all the tasks you need to accomplish in your meeting.
- Prepare to record your group activities in Meeting Minutes by reviewing the information on Meeting Minutes and the Meeting Minutes Format page.
During Your Week 07 Group Meeting
- Meet with your group as scheduled.
- Choose a person to take Meeting Minutes and a template for your Minutes.
- Complete the tasks listed in the Week 7 Meeting Agenda. As you work through the items, record your decisions in your Meeting Minutes.
After Your Week 07 Group Meeting
- Revise your Meeting Minutes as needed and submit them below. Only one member of your group needs to submit the minutes.
- Group Leader: Make an Announcement in your Group doing the following:
- Title the Announcement: Week 7 Meeting Minutes.
- Add any notes from the Minutes that you want to highlight as important.
- Attach a copy of your Week 7 Meeting Minutes.
Placing this information in an Announcement ensures that everyone has access to the minutes and the decisions that your group has made.
Assessment
I will mark your participation for this Try-It Complete (or Incomplete) after the end of the Grace Period passes and I confirm that your group has also posted a Week 7 Meeting Minutes Announcement. Allow me several days to read and mark your work.
