What You Need to Do

Success Tip

You can use the online texts, any notes that you have, and the available course pages in Canvas for help as you work on these questions. You can also talk to one another.

During your Week 10 Meeting, you divided primary research among group members. After the meeting, you were responsible for conducting the research. In this Try-It, you’ll post the data that you found so that everyone in your group has access to it.

How This Activity Connects to the Course

You and your group are working directly on your Recommendation Report by gathering the information that you will include in your report. You’ll use the information that you post here in your Recommendation Report in these ways:

How to Do It

  1. Review the Recommendation Report Research Guide for tips on primary research.
  2. Return to your Week 10 Meeting Minutes, if needed, to remind yourself what primary research you are responsible for. The minutes should be posted in an Announcement in your Group area on Canvas. For help, see How do I use groups as a student?.
  3. Complete your assigned research according to the schedule your group agreed to.
  4. Once you collect your research data, add a Reply to this Discussion so that everyone in your group can access them, following these guidelines:
    • Add headings to your Reply to make research easy to understand and navigate.
    • Identify the kind of primary research you conducted and the pages you applied the strategy to. This information should be listed in the Week 10 Meeting Minutes.
    • Summarize what you found in your research.
    • Attach your research data—notes, test results, screenshots, and so forth—to your Reply.
  5. Review the research that other members of your group have posted, adding any feedback or reactions. You can note research that will be important to your Recommendation Report as well as any place where deeper research is needed.

Assessment

I will assess group members individually, based on their participation. To earn a Complete, you must reply with all of the information listed above, including data that you found. I will mark your work for this Try-It Complete (or Incomplete) after the end of the Grace Period. Allow me several days to read and mark your work.
