- Go to www.usa.gov and select the “Government Agencies” tab.
- Choose an agency and navigate to its website.
- Then find a recommendation report on a subject that is relevant to your field. Find a report that no one else in the class has examined.
- Answer the following questions for the report you have chosen:
- How does the structure of the report differ from the structure described in Chapter 18 of Markel and Selber? In other words, does the report lack some of the elements described in the chapter, or does it have additional elements?
- Are the elements arranged in the order in which they are described in Chapter 18 of Markel and Selber?
- In what ways do the differences reflect the audience, purpose, and subject of the report?
