The Major Projects in this course build upon one another. Naturally, the work you do on one project will help you do better on the next. Here's how the Major Projects connect.
You create a list of kinds of writing in your field and gather some basic details on how these kinds of writing work.
You choose a kind of writing from your Analysis list and write a memo that proposes examining that genre in your Recommendation Report.
You research the kind of writing you have chosen, explaining different perspectives on the genre, and then recommend the best strategies for composing it.
You present the findings from your Recommendation Report in a Research Poster, suitable for a Poster Presentation.
You write instructions that someone could follow to complete the kind of writing that you have examined in your Recommendation Report and Research Poster.
This series of assignments focuses on how to research writing in your field and then determine how to complete anything you need in the workplace. Any time you need to write something, you can follow these same steps to figure out how the kind of writing works.
